After Extra Bucks

Oh today. Today was better than other days, better than the nearly 3 weeks preceding it because, well I kinda sorta in a way had an interview...kinda. I don't deserve nearly the amount of excitement my mom exclaimed on the phone but eh, it's something. It's with a temp agency and they liked me soooo there's a few jobs on the horizon:
CAA-working for an agency, on a desk presumably and not the scum that is the bacteria infesting in asst.'s armpits that mailroom clerks or floaters are. How versed I am in agency ladders of employment barely out of film school. It reeks.
NFL Marketing-Hello giant football players and making them look cool. This office is a stone's throw from my front door so that may work out well. I told Seth, hey, I know nothing about sports except that Tiger's 14th? mistress is a stripper from New York and that is from the gossip mags I peruse while buying broccoli in my attempt to up my vegie intake.
Comedy Travel Coordination-This would be coordinating travel for comedians funny enough to actually get paid to travel and go on comedy tours. This should be interesting...I guess the HR lady is a really sniffer-someone who sniffs out the weak and the ill-informed as well as the disinterested. I must show my intense passion for comics and they hilarious things they say...note to self: buy "Being Funny for Dummies"

So, thank you temp-diaries for getting me "in" the nearly in crowd. Here we go.

In other news...Kabuki's happy hour includes the Alaska Roll for 5.95 between 3 and 6 Monday through Friday. Sweet I say, awesome I yell, great news! I also saw this Youth in Revolt. Truly entertaining. Cera's uninterested gaze and dialogue gets it so far but then Francois gets introduced and the whole movie gets better again. Weak story but damn good jokes and the lady lead is cute.

Being a "smart shopper" has become nearly my number one goal at this moment. The after extra bucks at CVS has me hooked, seriously, I need a group to attend. It's awesome getting free money, hooray. It helps when unemployment, a sorry $600 bucks a month, doesn't quite cut it. At least I can satiate my want for shopping with buying things I actually need like soap and cheerios without racking up a credit card.
