Friday!

Commercial...
A great little animated video on trying to get commercials made, this one takes the cake...."We need a director who has experience shooting on a white background..."

Film...
HBO series called Tilda shot its pilot starring Diane Keaton and Ellen Page. VERY excited about a weekly dose of Ellen Page, I love her!

Hate me if you dare but I am a Kristen Stewart fan and I am stoked on the film version of On the Road!

The Bounty Hunter...uuuuuuugggggggghhhhhh I at least thought it would be rolling on the floor laughing kind of funny. Buuuuut I guess not. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't great either. UGH.

Inception. Blew. My. Mind...It was amazing! Oh the story the characters the development and the wondrous world that Nolan set up, he's a film God and I love him.

Photography...
Brent Humphrey is a photographer capturing the Tour de France, but in an unusual way, he captures the watchers, the fans of the race but occasionally gets the bikers on film as well. Gallery opening is Saturday and runs through August 31st.

Film...
Finally a REAL Social Network trailer. Looks super intense, had no idea that Facebook came from a potential stolen idea.

A very intense and thorough set report for The Green Hornet staring Seth Rogen and Christoph Waltz!

Ryan Reynolds "in costume" for Green Lantern....hooooooooooot.

Transformers 3 Set Photos

Commercial...
Honda Cog Commercial from way back but still cool. I think it looks fake but apparently its real!

Twilight...
The more press I see done with Dakota Fanning the more I love this girl! Shes turned into such a gorgeous young lady and has the attitude/life style that isn't filled with binge drinking and acting like a spoiled rich girl. Here's an article she did for Flare magazine!

Green Zone...
Can't get enough of Rachel McAdams and friends website www.greenissexy.org! This time around, an interesting use for bras that helps save planet Earth!

Waterlife Documentary that was the talk of the town last year. Award winning Cinematography too, what a treat!

Music...
If you're NOT going to La Roux or Black Swan or the Hollywood Bowl tonight....KT Tunstall is at the Hotel Cafe!

Geek Zone...
iPhone wedding cake? No prob!

USB Wedding ring? Sounds good!

Scott Pilgrim vs The World
New clip/featurette. This film looks fun, like matinee on a Saturday fun :)

Starwars Everywhere!
Recreations of scenes in modern day with Star Wars characters...

Joaquin Phoenix and Casey Affleck documentary still very much alive...if you could call it that...

Canon Commercial, rocks my world.

Despicable Me at the Grove Theater in 3D...it was okay, I kinda fell asleep because I was really tired but it was good. The little green dudes seemed like kind of a rip off of Toy Story buuuuuut its cool.

Saw How to Be with Robert Pattinson as well last night, didn't even finish it it was so bad. It was bad in the way that the main character suffers too much and he doesn't get revenge, lame.

The Completed List 101 Things in 1001 Days

99. Write a letter to myself to be opened in 10 years
I just did this...umm it went well. Is it suppose to be awe inspiring and amazing? It wasn't so awesome but I stated what I wanted or what I think I wanted...ugh. It wasn't that fun. Ha.

94. Get finished copies of my films (1/5): Go, Every Night Ruby, Holiday, The Reunion and Melissa
HOLIDAY: Check, thanks Justin!

94. Get finished copies of my films: Go, Every Night Ruby, Holiday, The Reunion and Melissa (2/5)
I received Every Night Ruby last night. There are so many things I would change. I think a lot about what it is to be an artist you are constantly learning and exploring. One thing I've certainly learned is to take charge of what I want more and create the look I want. Its so easy to try to just please the director, but in the end, you're hurting the whole film if you don't stand up for what you want.

92. Buy a bike and couch
So I didn't BUY a couch but my wonderful mother brought my brother's old futon down so now we have an extra bed AND a couch! Win, WIN! Recycle people, its way better than paying for new materials to be made!

87. Respond to http://www.plinky.com/ once a week (1/157)

Animals, hooray, and who cares about a stray gorilla escaping?

84. Visit all 50 states (7/50)
This list is being made with the idea that these are the states that I remember. My mom apparently took me on a 10 day East Coast trip when I was like 6 months old but I have to memory of it so it didn't exsist I guess...
California-easy, born and raised. From Ukiah to Cloverdale to Lodi to Galt to an occasional stint in Manteca to Morro Bay and Los Osos to Atascadero to Cuvler City with a brief stint in Northridge and Winnetka. SIGH
Florida-For my high school graduation gift my mom got me a trip to Disney World in Orange County, Florida. Much to Linnea's dismay we went and kind of had a good time, poor Linnea.
Hawaii-Family vaca when I was almost a Freshman in high school. Loren and Ryan came as Kev and my friends. We had a great time and almost got eaten alive by fish.
Missouri-Barely remember this partly due to the fact that my left eye started to close up due to the smoking going on in the house. My aunts then tried to "rub" it away by rubbing their solid gold wedding rings on my swollen tender eye. That was fun. I remember seeing my first real buggy and going to the "general store" and having the lady make us try fresh honey, honeycomb entact by the spoonfull.
Nevada-Oh Vegas. I've been there 4 times so far. Once I was 16 and with Loren's family with a few more friends. I was the ugly duckling in that story and we had an okay time. The next was my 21st Bday Party. I remember every bit of it because we were with my parents. The third was with Sadie and Morgan and have a FANTASTIC TIME we did. We danced at the greatest clubs, hung out by the nicest pools and saw the Beatles LOVE Cirque de Soleil. The 4th was with my boyfriend and his family for his 21st Bday Party. We ate delicious food and had the best suite ever at the Venetian Pent House.
New York-Been there twice, both times with my high school choir to compete in different competitions. What an experience to sing in Carnegie Hall, St. Peter's Church and at ground zero.
Washington-Flew there with my friend Alisha and her friend Josh to go visit a friend of theirs who was attending the University of Pugent Sound. We visited Pike's Place and went to the first starbucks ever. The campus was beautiful!

74. Keep a monthly budget and stick to it
I'd like to think I'm doing this but not dollar for dollar, I'm going to say its in progress because I'm not a crazy spending machine these days. I guess I never have been...because I really do enjoy getting something thats worn in and has the kind of history I can imagine.

64. Complete the 26 Things Photographic Project (1/26)
This is my entry for "In the Distance" number 6. on the 26 Photographic Project list. I was walking, she was walking. She had a brilliant red coat on and was being hugged by all those trees, it all just fell together. Hope you enjoy.

57. See all the Best Picture Nominees each given year (0/10)
I have already seen Avatar, An Education, District 9, Up, Up in the Air, Hurt Locker, and Inglorious Bastards. Its going to take A LOT to make me see Blindside, Serious Man and Precious, although I'm sure it'll happen sometime....

54. Attend the LA Philharmonic or Kronos Quartet Orchestra
I saw the Kronos Quartet Orchestra perform with my friend Jesse up near Santa Cruz a few years ago but it doesn't count. What DOES count is that I'm going to see the LA Philharmonic perform Beatles songs THIS Sunday and I couldn't be more excited. I hope the HW Bowl sounds great and that it isn't too chilly!

53. Complete the IMDB Top 250 (as of Oct 2009) (61/250)
9. The Dark Knight (2008)-saw at midnight opening night with Noah, Linnea, Sara and Aaron at a theater in AG.
13. Casablanca (1940)-saw in film class, my first ever, at Cuesta college. This is the class that confirmed that I wanted to make movies.
17. Fight Club (1999)-can't remember the first time I saw this.
22. Pyscho (1960)-I rented this, finally, after I pretty much graduated film school. HA.
25. Matrix (2000)-Oh my, it was cool but eh, enjoyed the behind the scenes doc much more.
28. Avatar (2009)-This is the latest movie I've seen, saw it December 28 2009 at the Bridge, first movie there in 3D. Amazing, rumour is that it has grossed over 1 Bil worldwide.
31. Dr. Strangelove (1964)-rented this from school library. Didn't get it, too weird?
32. Sunset Blvd. (1950)-what a glorious opening scene, what a beautiful entrance. Oh my, I'll never forget this opening, never. Saw this in class at CCH.
37. American Beauty (1999)-saw this movie about 20 times at least. I used this one as my film thesis in my critical analysis class. Loved it but I've seen it too much :/ Gorgeous film, wonderful use of color and movement.
38. American History X (1998)-Noah made me watch this. Way intense for me, I shuddered. Norton again proves he can act, damn he can act.
43. WALL-E (2008)-Pixar can do no wrong and this movie def. captured my heart. Rich characters, lovable storylines and a crazy amount of social issues at the head.
48. A Clockwork Orange (1971)-someone was on drugs when they wrote this, seriously bad drugs. Gruesome at best.
52. To Kill a Mockingbird (1962)-Saw 2005I remember seeing this movie once, in Senior AP English with Mr. Badrgian. I loathed that class, he hated my prose writing, stupid B+. It intrigued me, I have to say the class did too, he had a love of film.
58. Double Indemnity (1944)-THIS was THE movie that made me want to make movies, well this and E.T. Saw this for the first time in Senior AP English, thanks again Mr. Badragon.
59. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)-Oh my introduction to Michel Gondry and Ellen Kuras, two of the greatest filmmakers of this time. Its imagination, the way it was shot, it demanded a dream state audience. Beautiful.
61. Requiem for a Dream (2001)-Jared Leto? Yes indeed. Everyone says it's depressing, eh, it's gnarly but Jennifer Connelly rocks it. I own this.
69. El laberinto del fauno (2006)-AKA Pan's Labrynth and Gulliermo del Toro's masterpiece. Dark, creepy gross fairytale. Wonderfully done.
71. Up (2009)-My first 3D movie ever, besides the Honey I Shrunk the Audience show at Disneyland. Saw this with Tony on a boring night. The first 20 min. make you cry, it's okay I did too.
76. 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)-remembering the music alone gives me goosebumps. Epic, such an epic film.
77. Slumdog Millionaire (2008)-Finally saw this after the Oscar noms and awards had come and gone. Quite the underdog and after meeting the DP and hearing him speak, sounds like he deserved it enough. A great story and deep but didn't grip me like it did the rest of the world.
80. Back to the Future (1980)-Top 5 movies ever, here it is. Amazing, time travel, the 80's and young Michael J. Fox, loves it. It appeals to every nostalgic bone in my body even if I only lived for 3 years in the 80's.
87. Full Metal Jacket (1987)-Again, Noah made me watch it and I wanted to cry, thanks babe. Hardcore man, me no likey these war movies. But amazing.
102. District 9 (2009)-One of the best in the decade, hands down. Story driven sci-fi, computer graphics amazing, and room for a sequel. I want more!
105. Gladiator (2000)-Don't really remember this one, Kevin is enamored with the whole good fighting evil thing, eh.
106. Jaws (1975)-I'm pretty sure I've just seen a mashup of the jaws theme with the shark attacking of this one, never seen the whole real movie...
108. Unforgiven (1992)-A western I actually enjoyed, imagine that.
111. No Country for Old Men (2007)-Whoa and whoa again, see THIS Coen Brother's movie had umph and serious stories to back up the dark comedy moments.
119. The Wizard of Oz (1939)-I LOVE this movie and to think it was done in 1939, CRAZY. It's so beautifully done and the effects are great for that time. Just found out it was filmed here in Culver City, around the corner at then called MGM Studios.
120. Mononoke-hime (1997)-Princess Mononoke was watched with Noah, he's big into anime, we've also seen Spirited Away, Akira and Howl's Moving Castle. A great story but I'm still not a lover of anime.
124. Donnie Darko (2001)-Noah made me watch this as well. I have no idea why he loves these freaky weird movies...that bunny head gave me nightmares for a few days.
128. There Will Be Blood (2007)-The other great movie of 2007, P.T. Anderson and Daniel Day and it was heaven. This put Paul Zano on my radar and was a great movie about family and business.
131. The Sixth Sense (1999)-Um hello nightmares thank you very much. I totally knew he was dead before the audience really knew he was dead. That kid man, great skills, haven't seen him in anything to this day that's as well done.
134. Kill Bill Vol. 1 (2003)-Noah always makes me watch the violent ones but as far as this one goes as a kickass heorine kicking ass to get revenge its awesome!
140. Into the Wild (2007)-Never mind that this was based on a true story and never mind that I love Emile Hirsch but to see him die from plant poisoning is super sad. The whole movie was so lonely and depressing and just gah, I don't want to die in a van in the middle of NOWHERE without anyone. Crazy sad, ugh. Sean Penn did a great job though, beautiful.
142. The Big Lebowski (1998)-Oh Jeff Bridges in the Dude. A great comedic thriller with weird characters just strange enough to be proclaimed the Coen Bros. invention. Another job WELL done fellas.
145. Star Trek (2009)-I came into this movie not having watched a single minute of the TV series nor knowing any cling-on of any sort, is that how you spell it? So overall a great adventure movie, loved the flares, loved the shooting and that kid Yuron or something, what a great balance.
150. The Lion King (1994)-I love how there are Disney movies on here. When Simba's dad dies, its the saddest moment ever. Despite the stupid "sex" in the dirt, what a great kids movies about moving on and becoming your own self.
151. Finding Nemo (2003)-The movie is great but the ride at DL is even more fun.
154. Trainspotting (1996)-A young Ewan McGregor, loved it. But it scared the shit out of me for ever wanting in the slightest bit to do drugs. And the effing baby OMG. Freaky movie, very well done.
155. The Graduate (1967)-Still not sure what the hype is about this movie. Yea, Dustin Hoffman gets laid by girlfriend's mom. Um, not too crazy these days but maybe back then. But that song I don't remember now but will remember once I hear it, always gets stuck in my head.
158. Toy Story (1995)-Can't believe this was 15 years ago! Great design and animation.
159. Terminator (1984)-Talk about gritty, robots, and being scared of the future. Damn they pulled this off. Arnold never did it for me though. And then, there was this thing was he was our governor, how THE EFF DID THAT HAPPEN?!
160. Ratatouille (2007)-Eh, not my favorite but a good movie nonetheless. The animators spend so much time, so many years on each of these movies I want to say they're the best yet but sometimes they aren't.
161. Groundhog Day (1993)-Bill Murray, I'm sure he's turned into a combination of his characters by now. An oldy and a goody.
168. V for Vendetta (2005)-And the world falls in love with Natalie Portman all over again. God I love her and she shaved her head and everything, damn.
171. Twelve Monkeys (1995)-Oh Brad Pitt, don't do crazy just do hot and awesome.
176. The Princess Bridge (1987)-My family and I LOVE this movie. Classic guy saves girl and they live happily ever after and it has a young version of that kid...yea, that kid.
177. The Incredibles (2004)-Great story about old crime fighters. Loved it and pixar is great again.
180. Children of Men (2006)-This goes into the depressing category but damn good depressing, I own this, which means a lot. Doesn't exactly mean I watched it since I bought it but I have it :) The behind the scenes stuff is incredible too, the way they shot the in car chase sequence. It's like Waterworld without water.
185. In Bruges (2008)-This was incredibly sad too. But they tried to make it funny, not funny when you see a guy fall from 3+ stories and SPLAT his head on the ground. Not funny at at all. My love of Colin Firth dropped below icelandic levels. Ugh.
198. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)-I LOVED this movie. There were so many bad reviews at it's length and bad story. Um excuse me WHAT?! Claudio Miranda lit one of the best movies of the CENTURY. Not to mention I got to go to a private special effects screening where they broke down some of the best shot scenes in history and I got an amazing book, seen here for FREE. Amazing!
201. Big Fish (2003)-One of my all time favorite movies. I love it when movies can do such a great job with modern day fantasies and they pull it off with such ease and normalcy.
207. Crash (2004)-This made me want to go apeshit on every policeman in LA but other than that a great ensemble cast and even better stories.
215. Bonnie and Clyde (1967)-Their story is amazing and to die in a fit of gunfire and shit is the way they'd want to go down. Its sad they die but at least they do it in a sweet way I guess...for criminals that is.
220. Little Miss Sunshine (2006)-Hello Abigail Breslin and Paul Dano again! What a splendid film and Steve Carrell taking a back seat supporting role. Its a great film.
223. 500 Days of Summer (2009)-What an honest romance, truly no magic shows here. I love these kinds, the ones that might actually be real and happen.
229. The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)-Henry Selick and company know how to do it, at least this time. The drawings are splendid and the characters evil and sweet.
230. Shaun of the Dead (2004)-HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. That's all.
240. Monsters, Inc. (2001)-Again Pixar is God.
245. Casino Royale (2006)-Finally I see the wonder that is Daniel Craig, see Sara see! And Eva Green SUPER HOT. The Dreamers anyone? Well that movie was effed up.
249. Blood Diamond-Leonardo doing a South American accent, no thank you. But a wonderful tale of the black diamond trade market.

Cut to a few weeks later from that and I find out our neighbor is subletting this month so its probably HIS. Oh what a world.

19. Send out Christmas cards
Christmas 2009, CHECK.

17. Try 8 new restaurants (1/8)
Kay and Dave's Cantina-ordered steak tostada, it was HUGE.
17. Try 8 new restaurants (2/8)
We celebrated Sara's 23rd Bday in Newport Beach this past Saturday night and it was awesome! Great eats and the Yardhouse and fun times at Muldoons!

The Yardhouse
We took about 4 pictures in this series because Linnea wanted re-dos....DORK.
Sara got a half yard, meaning literally, a half yard of beer...I guess they used to sell full yards but they stopped because people kept knocking them over!

17. Try 8 new restaurants (5/8)
Work makes this pretty easy considering just about EVERY place we've eaten for lunch has been new to my taste buds. But for now lets take Chan Dara-DELICIOUS curry, Urth-very organic and yummy!, Bay Cities-one of my favorite new delis! I'll post more soon!

13. Watch 26 movies I’ve never seen starting with each letter of the Alphabet (E,F,Y/26)
Fantastic Mr. Fox-Eek, not Anderson's best...
Youth in Revolt-wonderful! Francois! I want my own Francois!
Extract-just watched yesterday ummm don't waste your time. This was such a bad movie. Bateman is funny but the plot was horrid.

Moon
It was a great movie but it is all about death and dying and is it all worth it and dealing with it all and ugh. I'm super depressed now, thanks Duncan. Clint Mansell's music is terrifyingly brilliant though and Sam Rockwell is a true actor.

13. Watch 26 movies I’ve never seen starting with each letter of the Alphabet (E,F,H,M,Y 5/26)

I love Sam Rockwell and Zooey Deschanel but this movie was okay. The gags were funny but the story...eh...the prop pieces were awesome when it wasn't CGI. Overall, not amazing.

Super High Me
I watched Super High Me, the satire of Super Size Me where comedian Doug Benson doesn't smoke for 30 days then he smokes, 24/7 for 30 days in a row. It was freaking hilarious, seriously, loved it. They did some tests along the way but nothing as snazzy as Super Size Me but it was intertwined with his comedy tour in which he gave updates on his status. Really funny, I recommend it!

The Goods
Oh my effing goodness what a horrid movie! Horrible, hated it, didn't even finish it, I couldn't finish it, it was THAT BAD. Don't waste your time. Jeremy, I love you man as Ari Gold but this was such a bad movie to do, I don't get it.

Persepolis
Poignant coming-of-age story of a precocious and outspoken young Iranian girl that begins during the Islamic Revolution.
Overall a great movie. The animation was fantastic for flat characters and the story was great! Movies like this always make me feel so happy to live in America where we are all ridiculously free to do what we want.

13. Watch 26 movies I’ve never seen starting with each letter of the Alphabet (B,D,E,F,G,H,M,P,S,Y 10/26)

The Bounty Hunter...uuuuuuugggggggghhhhhh I at least thought it would be rolling on the floor laughing kind of funny. Buuuuut I guess not. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't great either. UGH.

11. Try one new recipe a month (1/32)
Homemade Whipped Cream:
Heavy Whipping cream with vanilla and powdered sugar...mmmmm

7. Do something for my body everyday, eat well and work out
Billy Blank's Bootcamp Basics-every other day :)

6. Take a New Trail (1/32)
I took a new trail about 3 weeks ago, it was awesome! Well it was an adventure because I tried to explore a place that Linnea had pointed out to me and that I had wondered about myself. I live in Culver City, right across the street from Stage 16 at Culver Studios and there's this house that is-a-glow every night and sometimes I see little moving ants up there (people). So I wanted to find out how the heck they got up there. Well I thought it was off Duquesne and Jefferson, where the park is. Well I went up that and then parked down at a mid spot and "hiked" up to the lookout where you could park about 20 cars. Its a good view but NOT the one I was thinking of. So, I drove East a few blocks and saw a sign for Baldwin Hills Scenic something. AHA. You can drive up this windy street to the museum (which I thought was that house) OR you can hike a little then go up 285 steps to the top.
I'm exercising so I took the stairs, woohoo, it was awesome! The view was great and the climb is great for the legs and buns. They have picnic tables and a big concrete circular structure with rails to look all the way out to Santa Monica and beyond. You can choose to go back down the stairs OR go on a few trails that wind you down nice and slow.
The next time I went I was going to go up and down a few times but its started pouring :/
The 3rd time I went it was great except that day turned into having breakfast at 5PM because after my hike my car key wouldn't go into the ignition, siting a AAA visit and tow to Leaf Auto in Venice (AGAIN) and 400 bucks, a bus ride and a 5 block sprint in the rain home I finally got my stuff done. Ugh. Lately I've been jogging over there, going up the stairs and jogging back home. Takes about an hour.

4. Send a card/letter snail-mail style once a month (2 Feb/32)
This card wasn't such a happy thing to send off with the post lady the other day but I wanted to be there for my friend Taryn and needed to reach out in as many ways as I could. Her father was diagnosed with Kidney Failure on Monday and she is pretty torn up about it. He hasn't done dialysis but his son is being tested to see if he could be a donor but first they have to see if he has the same disease. It's such a gross thing to happen to such a wonderful family. My thoughts are with them and I hope everything turns out okay.

Slacker no more!

So I've slightly slacked on actually completing these 101 things so I'm determined NOT to slack. However, I just realized I haven't been QUITE the slacker since I have actually complete a few of these things but just haven't updated the list so here it goes!

101 Things in 1001 Days

17. Try 8 new restaurants (5/8)

21. Get a Shoe Tangle
So funny story here, Noah and his mom are in Ikea and he sends me a picture of a wooden shoe tangle that is awesome but like 50 bucks. A few weeks later I'm coming home really late and see this awesome shoe tangle just sitting there on the side of the road in front of our house....sooooo I take it. HA! And its practically brand new! Cut to a few weeks later from that and I find out our neighbor is subletting this month so its probably HIS. Oh what a world.

26. Get my Website off the Ground
I got my website not only OFF the ground but looking pretty spiffy if you ask me. Check it out at www.breemccool.com!! Very proud of myself, haha.

27. Visit Vanessa and/or Annie
This could still happen for Annie!!! Vanessa is coming home in a few weeks!

32. Go to 15 shows/concerts (0/15)
Noah got me a ticket for Matt Pond PA at the Troubadour for my bday ON my bday!!! They said happy birthday and dedicated a song to me, pretty sweet huh? No pictures but a signed ticket and a poster/tshirt :)

33. Put $20/month into a “me” account (0/32)
I'm actually putting away more than 20$ because I'm planning a trip to London in 2 years to coincide with the 2012 Olympics!

43. Get a Raise
I sorta got a raise, cause I got a different job....so....I think that qualifies but I'm putting this as on the go because I expect another one soon :)

45. Go to a music festival
This may not REALLY count but I did go to Warped Tour this year. You can check out photos on my website at www.breemccool.com!

I paid off my credit card!!!! DONE-ZO!!!! Hooray! Feels so good, thanks tax refund! Now just onto those student loans....

48. Go to Disneyland
I went to DISNEYLAND and I thought I wouldn't have pictures to prove it but I DO now because Sadie found my camera! Hooray!!!! I'll post those once I get my camera ;)

87. Respond to http://www.plinky.com/ once a week (1/157)

News of the Weird...

That is disgusting...
Among the unique dining experiences of the Beijing Zoo is the ability of patrons to view an exhibit of frolicking hippopotamuses and then step into the zoo's restaurant and dine on such dishes as toe of hippopotamus. Also available: kangaroo tail, deer penis, ant soup and other delectables. Animal welfare activists condemned the dining experience, according to a dispatch in London's Guardian. [The Guardian (London), 5-21-10]

Jah Man!
Virginia state inmate Kendall Gibson, who is serving 47 years for abduction and robbery committed at age 18, has spent the last 10 years in the prison's "hole," 23 hours a day in a cell "the size of a gas station restroom" (wrote an Associated Press reporter), not because he's a danger to the prison population, but because he won't cut his hair. Gibson is a Rastafarian and says his dreadlocks are devoutly authorized by the spiritual Lord, Jah. (A 1999 Virginia prison regulation requires administrative segregation for long-hairs.) [The Sun News (Myrtle Beach, S.C.)-AP, 5-7-10]

I'm IN!
British mechanical engineer John Tyrer told an audience at the annual meeting of the Institute of Physics in Brighton, England, in March (1998) that he and his colleagues were using lasers to design a more comfortable bra. "A breast imposes various load distributions ... and vibrational problems as the woman walks," he said, and he criticized the "strap design" that "transmits the load to the wrong places." According to Tyrer, the technology, "Electron Speckle Pattern Interfermometry," analyzes the way a three-dimensional surface (like a bra) changes when a force is applied to it. [London Daily Telegraph, 3-16-98]

In Twilight World...
Eclipse premiered this last week and I've seen it twice. It's cool, you can point and laugh but I love it for what it is! David did a wonderous job at making it look scary and suspensful
