Day 42

News...
This "Pole Dance Ruins Wedding" video is ridiculously fake...c'mon people. What happened to the good stuff? The REAL stuff caught on tape that was ridiculously funny, this video is bordering on creepy. Some lame-o student filmmaker is def. behind it.

Oh. Wow. A fat lady wins the 1Mil$ McDonalds prize. Let's care, for 2 secs. Ok, done.

So I don't always agree with Larry King Live, he may feel he's entitled to more than I think he is but dang, this Carrie Prejean interview is painful.

News of the Weird...
On July 13, William Thomson, 55, feeling bad recently about having violently resisted arrest by the Salisbury, Mass., police in a drunk-driving incident in 1997, brought hot coffee to a Salisbury station house and sought symbolic forgiveness from the officers on duty. The very next day, however, Thomson was arrested again in a drunk-driving incident, and again he forcefully resisted, punching a Breathalyzer machine, threatening an officer, and attempting to flood a lock-up cell in the station house. [South Florida Sun-Sentinel-AP, 8-13-09]

Thousands of airline passengers continue to attempt to bring prohibited carry-on items on board. The New York Post reported in September that the Transportation Security Administration had confiscated 123,000 items so far this year from just the three main airports serving New York City. Included were 43 explosives, 1,600 knives, a 10-point deer antler, several fire extinguishers, a tree branch, nunchucks, a grill, a baby alligator, "unwashed adult toys," a gassed-up chain saw and a kitchen sink. [New York Post, 9-13-09]

Film...
Sundance 2010 Contenders Announced So, who's going to take me and get me in?

Hangover 2 script halfway finished, heck yes! One of the best comedies of my life, love it.
Tim Burton's Frankenweenie Adaptation

6 new TV spots for Cameron's Avatar, each geared towards a different audience. What do you think? Too much footage?

Hollywood VS. New York, Mash up of destroying these cities=awesome.

Complaints that the new Lovely Bones poster is too creepy? Nonsense I say, it's awesome!

Trailers...
This guy seems interesting, never heard of him, must do some research.

Mammoth Starring Gael Garcia Bernal and Michelle Williams.
Very strange choice of a music in an otherwise serious film but I'm curious, Michelle Williams is usually decent so I'll probably see this.

12/4 Brothers starring Natalie Portman, Jake Gylenhaaul, and Toby McGuire. Looks intense, raw and very presently fitting.

The Strip an indie that MIGHT be funny...

Remember Me More Robert Pattinson being American, yes please. And finally a love scene, heck yes.

Kick-Ass. Heard a lot about this one. A few friends saw a preview and said it sucked but the preview looks kind of good.

1/8 Leap Year. Amy Adams goes looking for her boyfriend in order to ask him to marry her, gets picked up by Matthew Goode and falls for him instead. Wow, so original. BUT I can't resist Goode, he's freaking adorable.
Made for Each Other. Looks eh, we'll see.

Up in the Air. I was dying to see this, dying. Then Sadie told me it sucked and a little piece of me died. Thanks Sadie

Lovely Bones. Chilling new clip as well, Stanley Tucci is incredibly versatile and a pleasure to watch

Twilight Tidbits...
And the Breaking Dawn news just keeps getting better and better...

Ooooo Christian Serratos going naked to protest fur...too risque?

Bad Night

The night started out great. I was super excited to get off work and meet him at home, change out of my clothes and get the Scrabble night started. I put 5 roses we had in the house in a water bottle and my Halloween Pez dispensers to take over. The drive over was nice and we chatted about our days. His frustrations with work and my long, yet fun day made conversation.
We stopped at CVS to grab floss and Rolling Rock for Cierra and company. We arrived at her place and walked in. Ethan and Laura were there along with Justin. There was a new girl, Alex. She had brown roots where her platinum blond hair met 1 inch from her scalp. She is skinny and resembles another girl, Stephanie, who I later found out is her sister. She rubbed me the wrong way immediately with pretentious comments and oh the so old comment about "oh I finally joined Facebook but it's so stressfull, I mean, I guess I just can't handle it". I wanted to punch her. I cannot stand people who fight to be the oddest of the group, who strangle any thought or idea that is the "mass".
But, hey, we were there to play Scrabble and I was excited. So, we sit down and pick teams. I'm with Cierra and Justin. And I got crushed, per usual but it was fun and I'm mastering my 2 letter words :) Noah was with Ethan, Laura, and Alex.
So the games progressed and I was really into it, trying to concentrate because Justin and Cierra are super good. I kept one ear over at the other game though listening for good words. Keep in mind as far as the seating arrangement goes its me, Noah, then Alex.
So there's some flirting going on, more than just the everyday I just met you and now we're talking then...he touches her on the arm.
I wanted to forget about it, glaze it over, pretend like I was making something out of nothing. But then I got into the car and he goes what was that? and I go what was that? And he says the following:
That he was curious and wanted to see what was up with her
That it meant nothing but he was surprised she was flirting with him with me right there
etc...

So, he continued to do it. He didn't stop in his tracks, scoot closer to me and retract ANYTHING that could be translated into flirting, no, he continued because he was curious. I am beyond words...beyond insults. I am so mad I'm crying. To think he did this in front of me, what was he capable of when I was 200 miles away back home? When I wasn't looking?

Flirting with someone else, entertaining the idea of being with someone else is WRONG, it's wrong and it's hurtful and if he wants to do that he doesn't get me as well.

And to think during the fight he turned EVERYTHING onto me. I was being emotional, I was freaking out over nothing, he didn't do anything wrong, he was curious from a strictly anthropoligical stand point and that he was amazed she was flirting with him.

All those things, all those signs that she was crossing over and blurring the lines between inappropriate behavior and he stood by, didn't stop it. He urged it on, seeing how far it would go and moved closer to her and farther from me.

He just alienated me from him, from what I thought he was, and embarassed me in front of my friends.

Day 26

News…

Douche bag of the day

Yea, let's fake cancer, get all my friends and family to donate the money and spend it on a boob job. HUMAN FAIL.

News of the Weird…

The New York Times disclosed in June 1999 that about 2,000 obsolete, unfunctioning fire hydrants remain in place in New York City, each dry for almost 20 years, whose only purpose is to allow the city to collect fines from motorists who park too close to them. Supposedly, a contractor will begin removing them soon, but since that costs about $6 million, the project may be delayed. [New York Times, 6-16-99]

Parenting Made Simple: The father of the baby is only 13 years old, but his own dad told reporters in Manchester, England, in October that the kid "will make a good father" and "is taking his responsibilities very seriously." He is "mature for his age" and "knows what he's about." The new dad said he plans to quit school and work full-time to support the child and the 16-year-old mother (though the earning power of a 13-year-old is uncertain). [Daily Telegraph (London), 10-3-09]

NOTE: Apparently the girl had gotten pregnant from a 16 year old she slept with before the 13 year old. Oy.

Sex-accessory sellers are discovering the rich market for environmentally-pleasing lubricants, vibrators, and whips, according to a Time magazine report. Hello, vegan condoms, organic lubes, mahogany vibrators (not run by batteries but . . . "hand-cranked"). (If operated "by hand," there will be no battery "emissions.") Time
